The kagome superconductor AV₃Sb₅ (A = K, Rb, Cs) presents a particularly rich platform for studying correlated quantum phenomena. Superconductivity emerges on top of a charge density wave (CDW) phase that may itself host additional broken symmetries, including nematicity and possible time-reversal symmetry breaking. Moreover, the kagome lattice geometry, with its multiple sublattices per unit cell, introduces further complexity in modelling and interpreting experimental observations.

In this talk, I will address two key questions. First, I will discuss how the CDW order influences the superconducting state within a Ginzburg–Landau framework. Second, I will show how the multi-sublattice structure of the kagome lattice can render unconventional superconducting states unexpectedly robust against non-magnetic impurity scattering. This result can be generalized to other multi-sublattice systems, suggesting a broader principle behind the robustness of unconventional superconductivity.
